Online vs In-person: 4 Ways to Learn
ACC offers four types of classes, so you can keep learning no matter what. We’ll support you along whichever path you choose with virtual services, like free tutoring and academic advising.
Flexible Online Classes (Asynchronous)
Coursework can be completed fully online whenever it’s convenient for you. There are no in-person requirements.

Scheduled Online Classes (Synchronous)
Classes happen online at set times, so you can get to know your classmates and instructor. All coursework can be completed remotely. There are no in-person requirements.

Hybrid Classes
Classes have online and in-person requirements. Typically, you’ll meet online at a designated time for lectures and discussions, but head to a campus for socially-distanced hands-on learning and testing.

In-Person Classes
Classes meet in-person with social distancing measures in place. If there is a need to transition to online learning, your professor will provide further instructions.
